Voice inbox
Exchange voice messages asynchronously through an approved, dedicated phone connection.
Learn more →Your line to the outside
SendAKite is a phone-first communication platform being built to help incarcerated people and their families exchange voice messages, find approved resources, and stay connected.
“You have a new voice message. Press 1 to listen.”
The connection gap
Facility phones are shared, calls are timed, and families cannot always answer. SendAKite is designed as an asynchronous communication layer that works with approved facility access—not around it—and can be configured market by market.

Kite 100
A dependable starting plan for families who want regular contact without unlimited usage.
Kite Unlimited
For families who want the freedom to exchange messages without counting each one.
Kite Complete
Messaging plus approved resource guidance for families preparing for what comes next.
Simple by design
Each connection begins with verification and clear consent. Access depends on the rules and technical controls of the participating facility.
A family member registers the person, facility, booking ID, and approved phone number.
SendAKite confirms the facility and communications-provider rules before any connection is activated.
Where permitted, the incarcerated person uses a dedicated number and PIN while family manages messages through SendAKite.
Built for a responsible launch
Families should understand what is needed, what is available, and what it costs before a service begins.
Confirm facility and provider access before activating a paid connection.
Publish clear pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms before enrollment opens.
Keep required service notices separate from optional marketing permission.
Offer simple instructions, recognizable call information, and a clear path to human help.
Kentucky launch network
SendAKite will begin by working with licensed bail-bond agencies in Louisville and Lexington, then expand across Kentucky and into additional markets. Agencies pay nothing and receive no commission, referral fee, revenue share, discount, or control over customer accounts.
Give customers and families access to a useful communication resource when incarceration creates an immediate need.
Share a simple agency link, QR code, or handout. The customer chooses whether to enroll directly with SendAKite.
SendAKite handles consent, connection verification, onboarding, customer billing, messaging support, and service availability.
The agency is never paid for referrals. This is a free client-support relationship, not a commission program.
Trust architecture
Facility-first accessNo claim of access until the receiving facility and its contracted communications provider permit it.
Consent controlsSeparate operational and marketing consent, STOP/HELP handling, call disclosures, and auditable records.
Privacy by designRole-based access, encryption, minimal collection, retention controls, and incident response planning.
Human-governed AIRestricted knowledge sources, safety filters, monitoring, and escalation—never confidential legal advice.
Customer questions
Direct answers for families, facilities, and community partners before the Kentucky pilot begins.
SendAKite is a phone-first platform in development for approved voice messaging, family replies, account tools, and resource guidance for incarcerated people and their families.
Not yet. The first controlled pilot is being prepared in Kentucky. Joining the launch list does not create an account, start a subscription, or collect payment.
Planned monthly pricing is $19.99 for Kite 100, $24.99 for Kite Unlimited, and $34.99 for Kite Complete. Features and availability depend on verified facility access.
Billing begins only after SendAKite verifies that the connection can be activated. The current website does not collect a card or charge anyone.
No service can be promised until SendAKite confirms the rules, phone access, and technical controls of the specific facility and its communications provider.
Expect to provide the family contact's name, email and mobile number, plus the incarcerated person's full name, booking or inmate ID, and current facility.
No. Agencies may share SendAKite as a free resource, but they receive no payment and no control over customer accounts, messages, billing, or private information.
The planned guidance tools will use approved sources for reentry, education, benefits, and family support. They will not replace a lawyer, doctor, therapist, or emergency service.
English will lead the Kentucky pilot, with Spanish-language onboarding and support planned as the platform expands.
